My parents urged me to do my best and encouraged me in anything I chose to do. Sometimes my dad expected too much of me, because he was a loser in school, so he wanted me to be the best at everything. My mom wanted me to be popular, so my parents fought a bit over my well being. It was pretty much your average muggle upbringing.
